The finale of the Snowbombing Club Tour Driven by Volvo: Urban Nerd’s Valentines Warehouse Party; went off with a bang! The Urban Nerds stepped up once again to host their Snowbombing London warm up party and yearly Valentines special at one of the newest warehouse venues in East London.
The crowd was jumping, the base was thumping, and everyone was getting giddy as the countdown to Snowbombing began… With FREE entry for the first 50 girls and free merchandise from Snowbombing the dance floor filled up quickly, getting the party rolling.
Outside the Warehouse was a Snowbombing Volvo branded to the hilt, helping to mark the entrance of the party, once inside it was clear that this was going to be a serious gig, full Funktion1 rig, an amazing graffiti piece by legendary London crew ATG, banners and posters covering every wall, and a massive dance floor. It looked set to do the business.
Ordio Kid opened up proceedings followed by Tayo and then the “ones to watch” Rattus Rattus, Klose One and Illa Man doing what they do best in providing a bass rumbling mash up of different tempo’s, styles and genres.
Manchester soldiers, Virus Syndicate held the fort before headliner JME took to the mic with a few live PA’s. With over 900 people in the space the venue looked busy throughout the night and only suffered one minor mishap when the power to the DJ booth cut for a quick minute before it was restored to big cheers from the crowd.
The Nerds came correct with this new venue, and I hope they do more events in this space in the future. An epic night… A huge thanks to everyone who came down. Good work Nerds! Don’t forget you can catch the Urban Nerds at Snowbombing on the 7th & 8th April in Mayrhofen where they will be hosting two nights of party madness. See you there.
