Accomodation Update!

If you have not yet booked your bed, do not fret… We still have plenty more accommodation on sale this week!

Do we ever let you down…? All those folk who booked un-named accommodation are this week being allocated CENTRALLY-LOCATED beds (just like we nudge nudge, wink, winked would be the case).

Moreover – the next wave of beds (can beds wave?) will be named (but certainly not shamed) NEXT week – so anyone who books un-named accommodation this week (begining Mon 22nd Feb) will be allocated these.

The message is very clear – if you havn’t booked yet because there is only un-named accommodation left in your preferred standard – don’t hold back, seize the day and bag yourself a laveryly lodge… me old china!

Unnamed Accommodation – what you should know:

Some of the most precious things in life haven’t got names. Consider millions of mysterious stars twinkling in the night sky, playful puppies in a pet shop window or a beautiful new born baby… just because they haven’t been called anything, it doesn’t affect their quality!

Similarly, our unnamed accommodation is every bit as warm, cosy and spa-tastic as its star rating suggests. We don’t name them because we’re ashamed of what they are and we’re worried you’ll google them and will be disappointed.
The reason why they ‘re unnamed is down to our agreement with the resort – we are given an agreed amount of beds at all standards – from cool pool packing 4 star luxury to pocket-friendly 2 star pensions. Five years of working in Mayrhofen informs us that the Austrian star system is very finely adhered to. So throughout the resort, units are virtually identical (because they are built by the same firm!).
But our agreement means that we are only notified of which units we’ll be using as the event draws near – and certain units indicate they have room.

So don’t be surprised if the 4 star unnamed hotels are just as good (if not better) than our named hotels – it may even be in one of these. Similarly, the locations are every bit as central as our named accommodation. As the resort is concentric and not linear, almost all 3 and 4 star units are located within walking distance to everywhere that matters (the lifts, the venues, the 24 hour garage/off licence…)

Unnamed 4 star – All rooms are equipped with a bath or shower, WC, cable TV, telephone, safe and hairdryer and some also have a balcony. Leisure facilities will typically include include a sauna, steam bath, hot whirl pool, solarium and massage room, squash court and tennis courts. Facilities include: * Bar * Lounge area * Restaurant * Reception * Free use of sauna and steam room * Free use of fitness room * Solarium * Massage and beauty treatments * Free use of squash court * Free use of tennis courts).

Unnamed 3 star – .Rooms are en suite with Cable TV, telephone, internet connection, safe, bath, shower, toilet, hairdryer, writing desk and balcony ( identical to 4 star rooms in most cases, but perhaps a little less spacious and with fewer in house wellness facilities)

Unnamed 2 star – These are traditional Austrian homes, often set in a peaceful, quite location, perfect for getting away from all the mischief and mayhem of Snowbombing, yet only a short walk into the town centre. Rooms are a mix of en suite or shared WC/shower, Austrian twin beds, wash basin, some with TV’s and almost all have balconies. In short: clean, functional, bags of character and great value!
