You Can’t Secret Sticker, a Secret Sticker-er!
Well then, what a snowy shenanigan filled evening the Ski and Snowboard Show – Official Snowbombing After Party was!
After spending an amusing day at the show; (highlights being the dancers from the fashion show wearing Snowbombing moustaches on stage, the Pro Riders wearing Snowbombing’s retro fancy dress ski wear on the ramp and some nude entertainment at Snowbombing stand), it was all aboard the disco bus for a pre party schnapps… and then another… and then another.
The party was hosted at The Westbury pub on Kilburn High Road. The venue was a hive of entertainment and friendly faces… A really good crew came down, excited to kick off the party in true Snowbombing style, getting ready for what is going to be another amazing Snowbombing 2011 in Mayrhofen in Austria.
The music wasn’t bad either… With the dance floor filled with booze-fuelled snow enthusiasts from start to finish.
Somehow I managed to get my hands on loads of Snowbombing promotional stickers (not that they need them) to go round and ‘secret sticker’ people… It amused me for over an hour as I thought that I was being both slightly funny and very secretive. However, when I funnily crawled back home and found out that my back was completely covered in Snowbombing stickers I realised that I was a walking advertisement! The cheek of it!… Ahh well, serves me right.
So; the music: After a wicked warm up from the lovely Firas (Filthy Few), Snowbombing favourites Benny and Klaud also known as The Urban Knights stepped behind the decks, playing a jacking mix of hip hop and electro beats.
Next up were the Loose Cannons, there was nothing ‘loose’ about them either, as they played a tight fun-filled set of party vibes, whipping the crowd into a frenzy.
By the time Aston from Freestylers appeared behind the decks, the room was really buzzing, people were going mental on the dance floor, busting their best break beat moves.
At the peak hour of 2am, Radio 1’s favourite bad boy Mistajam got behind the decks, and onto the mic, he threw down some classic bass filled bangers to finish off the night perfectly.
And then it was home time… A fun night was had by all and I can’t wait for Snowbombing 2011…
‘You can’t secret sticker a secret sticker-er’… That’s my motto and I’m gonna stick-er to it.
