BUMPING AWARD

We were  recently contacted by Snowbomber Joanne Thornhill, who explained to us that she couldn’t take part in the Roadtrip, which she booked back in October as her life has changed (for the good, we should add )and she will be 28 weeks pregnant in early April! Not that this will stop our Jo from attending Snowbombing – she still plans to fly in from her home in Dubai!

This is indeed devotion to the Volvo Snowbombing cause above and beyond the call of duty, and we feel it deserves recognition.

So Joanne will be the first recipient of a new medal which recognises random acts of behaviour which personify the Volvo Snowbombing ethos. The MAVS (Mental About Volvo Snowbombing) Award marks mentalism of great merit.

So arise Joanne and accept your gong and complimentary T shirt… but be aware that if the baby comes early it will be Austrian and be born with a mullet, thick moustache and we’ll insist it will be called Fritz – even if it’s a girl!

Do you know someone for whom Volvo Snowbombing is not so much an event but a passion, or someone who has made great sacrifice or huge effort to be part of it?

If you do, drop us a line here explaining why you think they deserve a MAVS Award!
