This year at Volvo Snowbombing we have teamed up with the guys from Data Transmission  to host a special party at the Arctic Disco on Tuesday 5th April in the afternoon sunshine with a soon to be announced killer line up.

This is your chance to bag a DJ set in one of the coolest venues on the planet!! Data Transmission are able to give one lucky winner the opportunity to join that line up and DJ with them.  The winner will also WIN an Entertainment package so they can go to all the evenings parties as well.

Remember – You will need to have sorted your flights and accommodation,  the competition is open to people that are already attending or planning to attend the festival as the lucky winner will have to make their own way to the event.

What you need to do:
Head to www.mixcloud.com/competitions to enter the competitions, some vital instructions for you, you must:

1. Make your mix and upload to Mixcloud.com

  • Your mix must be 30 minutes long.
  • You need to download the special Competition Artwork and attach it to your mix
  • Name the mix “Data Transmission Arctic Disco Competition Mix
  • Tag the mix with “DT Snowbombing Comp
  • Everything else is up to you…
  • Then you must head to data transmission and create yourself a “DJ account” by going to here – www.datatransmission.co.uk/artistregister once you have created your account you will see an option in the left hand yellow menu called “Your News” you must post your mix by using the embed code from Mixcloud as a news piece, this will then appear in the feed on the homepage.  You must title the mix with the start “DT Snowbombing Mix:” Then put your name.

Judging:

  • Entrants will be judged on factors including (but not limited to) number of plays, favourites, positive feedback, tune selection, originality and technical ability.
  • DJs must gain over 100 plays to be considered for the shortlist. The promoters are looking for DJs who show commitment and are able to use the tools available on Mixcloud and across the web to promote themselves effectively.
  • The final decision will be made by Data Transmission

All mixes must be on Mixcloud and Data Transmission by no later than midnight on Sunday 13th March
