Ready, set, go! The greatest snowboard and music festival in the world is nearly upon us – and instead of travelling care-of an over crowded flight, hundreds of Snowbombers are joining in on the fun that is the Volvo Road Trip! This year 150 cars from all over Europe will be taking to the road in style and comfort with a host of celebrities and fellow Snowbombers all the way to the Austrian mountains. After all, the journey is just as important as the destination!
It’s a non-competitive, musically-motivated roadtrip to the Volvo Snowbombing Festival in Mayrhofen, Austria, with plenty of fun and frolics to be had along the way. Putting a unique twist on festival travel, expect fancy-dress inspired cars, customised vehicles and Volvo’s own 21st Century Luxury VIP car fleet including the all new new Volvo S60 and V60 R-Desin, which will add sportiness, drive and dynamic to the musical journey.
New for this year, the Volvo Road Trip sees a pan-European expansion for 2011! Departing from both Volvo Lipscomb, Maidstone in the UK, and from the Netherlands (Amsterdam to be precise!) on Saturday 2nd April, the Volvo Road Trip is a unique driving experience unseen at any other European festival.
Driving On.. Road Trippers will make an overnight pit stop in Frankfurt where they will be treated to an exclusive performance from a fellow “Mystery Snowbomber“. The next day sees the cross country fleet rendezvous just outside of Volvo Snowbombing HQ before finishing the trip with a triumphant parade through the centre of Mayrhofen.

Keep an eye on channel 4 in the UK post Snowbombing 2011. They’ll be broadcasting the Volvo Road Trip for the world to see! Outside of the UK the tv show will also be broadcasted across TV channels across Europe so those in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy can catch up on the action!
