So you spent the weekend getting your fancy dress sorted, but have you got your bunting? As you may already be aware, this year we’re asking you to bring your own bunting to Volvo Snowbombing 2011 so we together, can try and break a world record for the World’s longest bunting!
This will be taking place on the Wednesday for the Royal Wedding Street Party and we need you to bring something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue to create some BONKERS bunting!
Some of you may be asking “How do I make bunting?”
Fear not Snowbomber, for we shall tell you.
- Get a piece of material from your garage/attic/mum’s sofa roughly the size of an a4 piece of paper.
- Cut this into a triangle.
- Do the same thing again about 10 times again but mix and match the materials
- Pack in your bag to go to Volvo Snowbombing
- Hand it in at check in, we will sew this to a piece of string and hey presto, bunting ahoy!
Those who are feeling very adventurous, why not try and sew to a piece of string yourself, and bring us a few metres of bunting pre-made? The reward will be your own self-satisfaction.
Please note: If the last time you picked up a needle and thread was in year 6 textiles, stick to option 1 and let us do it. We are in no way liable if you stick a needle through your drinking hand and can’t properly utilise it for Volvo Snowbombing 2011.
