Volvo Snowbombing HQ & Production have been very busy for the build up of this years much-anticipated festival, turning the quiet alpine village of Mayrhofen into the mother of all festival sites.
With most production staff arriving on the Wednesday and Thursday, Volvo Snowbombing’s venues are now starting to take shape. The Berghof Indoor tennis hall, (aptly named The Racket Club) is starting to show it’s ‘Inter-galactic’ properties, and the Europahaus, (Snowbombers from 2008 will remember) has been completely transformed into an uber-modern facility, now hosting 2 new venues for Volvo Snowbombing 2011, (Caraoke, and VS Live) as well as our new Events services area and core production office.
The Caraoke venue is a particularly exciting feature, adding a unique element to this years event. Not only will Snowbombers have the chance to sing with their very own rock band courtesy of the Rockaoke crew, and dance yourself mad care of the Propaganda DJ’s; they will also have the chance to experience never-before-seen ‘in-car-Karaoke’ with up to four of their friends in the all new Volvo S60 and V60!
The streets are now starting to really host that party atmosphere with miles of bunting lining the main stretch through Mayrhofen, as well as all the back streets through to Scotties and up through to the Rockstar Palace.
2x Volvo C30′s an S60, and a C70, were driven to the Penken mountain earlier today with more to come tomorrow! And let’s not forget our very own Projection car parked outside the Europahaus; take a look inside of this!
Even Hans the Butcher was prepping himself for his Volvo Snowbombing arrivals, insisting on the punctual delivery of his own branded hoody. We didn’t let you down Hans! It’s time for you to feed 5000 bombers stong!
There’s an excitement in the air here in Mayrhofen, and it wont be long till our first Snowbombers check in and ready themselves for this year’s, greatest show on snow.
