Volvo Snowbombing HQ have just returned from Canterbury, Kent after thoroughly enjoying a scorcher of a weekend at Merton Farm’s Lounge On The Farm Festival.

There were a number of highlights from the weekend, one of which started early on in the festivities at the Main Stage, with our very talented friends; Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. This was followed by a mind-blowing set from Snowbombing allstar Annie Mac at Lounge’s main rave venue; aptly titled “The Cow Shed“.
Those clued up with the programme managed to catch Jamie Woon’s mesmerising Saturday night performance at 6pm with “Night Air” being a huge fans highlight, closely followed by a jumping set by Example as the sun slipeed behind the Main Stage. Those hungry for more were not disappointed, with many heading to Urban Nerds Presents… including gripping performances from Zinc, Rattus Rattus and Klose One, Scratch Perverts, & Plump DJ’s.
Other key headliners from the weekend included the finest of festival fruit: with The Streets, Ellie Goulding, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Vaccines, Everything Everything & Graham Coxon all bracing the stage; Mike Skinner being a big talking point, after smashing the “O” from the “Lounge on the farm” stage sign with a hammer, and thus creating the new sensation to hit Kent, “Lunge” On The Farm.
Despite having minor groin injuries from all the lunging, we can’t wait to see what Lounge have got in stall for us next year at Merton Farm.
Were you there? Any acts that impressed that you would like to see at Snowbombing 2012? We always want to hear your thoughts, so let us know by posting on our facebook wall.
