Snowbombing HQ have spotted a superb gig on the nearby horizon with SB 2008 headliners and general mischief makers Madness topping their aptly named ‘House Of Fun Weekender’ this November alongside the likes of Rob Da Bank, Beardyman, Maverick Sabre, and everyone’s favourite tea loving DJ; Mr Scruff!
Snowbombing veterans from 2008 will remember our very first Forest Party in Mayrhofen, which consisted of 2 hours of jumping left and right manically to the melodies of ‘Baggy Trousers‘, ‘Our House‘, ‘It Must Be Love‘, and ‘House of Fun‘, in what can only be described as a truly magical finale to a breathtaking week of alpine antics.
As well as boasting a formidable line up, the weekend promises to deliver various methods of entertainment – entertainment you would only expect from a weekender called the ‘House Of Fun’. For example, the organisers (Madness) are scheduling a mass formation of fans to join them at 1pm on Saturday afternoon, for their ‘Longest Nutty Train’ challenge, which holds the motto ”It’s Not a conga” We are Madness Fans. Not fans of Black Lace!
They seem to be taking this quite seriously too, with info on their website instructing groups to practice their train moves at some point together before November, calling it “Managing your own carriage”. Well they’ll be glad to know that we’re certainly on board, and we’ll be revising our train maneuvers well in advance!
The weekend takes place at Butlins, Minehead, Somerset, from the 25th – 28th November. Tickets are priced from £144 per person for the weekend and can be purchased online here or on 0845 026 1274. With the above line up, tickets are undoubtably selling quickly, so act fast if you’d like to join the nations barmy army of Madness fans.
