After Halloween escapades with London club compadres Urban Nerds last weekend, Snowbombing took to the road for the next phase of the Ignition Club Tour… Birmingham was beckoning us down the M1, and we duly packed up and headed off for FACE.
Now an established weekly event, FACE has become one of the most respected House club nights in the country. This week was no different as the FACE x Snowbombing party brought forth a line-up that proved irresistible to the legions of ravers that populate England’s fair second city. Claude Von Stroke headlined, bringing his tech-house genius to the Midlands for the first time, much to the joy of the Birmingham crowd and those cheeky Eristoff Wolves!
A powerful and slightly intimidating LED screen stood in front of the DJ booth, zapping eyes and causing delirium. Because of his Fabric set the Stroke Master had to shoot off early, leaving the headline set to go to Heidi, long-time Snowbombing favourite and all round rave goddess. A wonderful 2 hours of house, broken beat and techno later and the rather sweaty crowd were putty in Heidi’s hands, leaving to a standing ovation and allowing the more than competent FACE residents to see out the night in style.
Our new partners MOTOROLA were also present, showcasing their ‘Winter Proof’ handset DEFY and encouraging ravers to bundle into the Winter Proof airstream which cleverly housed an Alpine themed photo booth. Many pics were taken across the night, consistently getting more ‘extrovert’ as the show progressed!
