With a delectable and infectious mix of food, fun, music and weird & wonderful performances (including a man dressed as Santa jumping around in a human-sized balloon followed by a very talented pole dancer…), Love Brunch has quickly established itself as one of London’s most exclusive parties, and we got in on the act last Saturday to help host their now infamous Crimbo bash!
Held at the Supper Club in Westbourne Park, the party boasted a fusion of international food, a sleek white interior and very posh cocktails… After frenetically chucking a load of fairy lights, Snowbombing bombs, banners and festive fare around the place, the Supper Club was labelled ‘officially ready for action!’
The drinks flowed whilst resident DJ Hugo Heathcoat warmed up the imposing white room with his signature hip-hop and funk mash-ups. After an unannounced but certainly not un-welcome pole dancer performed, Snowbombing trouble makers “Fitz Nizentight & The Guzenteits” (aka The Cuban Brothers) showed up to instigate some of their trademark insanity. Head Spins, rewinds, suits made of tinsel, and a light-hearted terrorising of the bemused crowd later, and the Cuban Brothers rolled out of Supper Club having left their usual Snowbombing mark! It was then left to house and breaks legend Bushwacka! to see out the last hour in style…
Rolling out the doors at 6pm rather than 6am was a disorientating experience to say the least, but served to confirm Love Brunch as one of the most interesting and off-beat events happening in London. Next stop for Love Brunch; an afternoon BBQ at the Arctic Disco at Snowbombing in April for a party that’s certainly going to delight…
