King of the Mountain 2008 saw 6 bands battle it out in Mayrhofen at the street party. Castro, Maxfield,I call Shotgun,Sketches,Hey Molly and Maths Class all performed to an incredibly high standard and really got the crowd moving!
It was an incredibly hard decision for all the judges, but the eventual winner of King of the Mountain 2008 was
I CALL SHOTGUN who received a cool 2000 euros and a Windows Mobile HTC Touch Phone each!
We'll be taking entries for KOTM 09 closer to xmas, so watch out!

Hey Molly

Hey Molly have been together for three years and in 2006 supported Muse at the Eden Projects in Cornwall. They have since played regularly on the South West Festival scene including performing at the Aeon , Maker and Beach Break Live Festivals in 2007. They also completed their first tour of Europe playing in Holland, Switzerland, France and the highlight being offered to play again with Muse at the Benicassim Festival in Spain, In 2008 the band have been confirmed for the Rocket Festival in Andalucia and several Volkswagon Festivals.

Sketches

'Sketches have been playing in venues nationwide for the past eighteen months and have recently supported the likes of Manchester Orchestra, Captain and Make Model. They have been awarded local and national radio airplay from BBC Leeds to XFM London.The band have recently begun collaborating with Fraser Smith (former songwriter/keyboard player of Shed Seven) who has produced music by many successful bands such as Winterkids and Little Man Tate. They have been described as 'Epic, mainstream and with lovely harmonies' Marshur Shandur : XFM and with 'Two strong vocals, badass drums and rhythmic breakdowns, 5 out of 5 for musical talent' Willy Mason.
