Going back, yeah it can be quite laborious. You can spend ages putting together a 1 bar loop, then realise you need dozens of loops to build a full track. But once such complexities are over and you have a good bank, it's great fun experimenting with filters and effects etc.Originally Posted by Natalie
Naturally I prefer live drums, and Midi links to the PC mean loops can be thrown together in seconds. although they may need tweaking as they are never as accurate as digitally produced drum machine stuff. The natural playing may sound better, but it's no good for sequencing to bass lines or whatnot. What software are you dabbling with..?

Watched Inception the other night - great film but I can't understand why so many people got confused watching it - pretty straightforward if you ask me

I think it was Toy Story 2 that I didn't pay attention too. I just don't get along with these over-hyped commercial animated movies. And the corporate marketing of merchandise that gets shoved in our faces afterwards is even worse....!
The merch' is for the kids, the films are OK for a bit of fun. I'm currently introducing Callum to ancient films he's never heard of. We've done the Indy Jones films, Goonies etc, currently doing the Back to the Future trilogy.

I just spent my pennies and closed a nice deal after some rather keen negotiations, great career builder, I feel like a coiled spring..! Just a few K left to play with for accesories, I wonder if I can channel some into a week away somewhere though...Any ideas..?
