At the ripe old age of just 3 and a half, The Blast has already established itself as one of the South West's best club-nights. Hosting a monthly first Friday (currently based at Bristol's famous and much loved Thekla), not to mention the massive Shit the Bed events 5 times a year (formerly at the infamous Lakota and now at Motion), it's safe to say that these boys are currently close to the top of their game.
It's hard to pin down exactly what the sound of the Blast is, but with previous headliners including the likes of: Diplo, Skream, Rusko, Benga, Sinden, Herve, Scratch Perverts, Ed Rush, Congo Natty, Plastician, Chase & Status live, + many more, not to mention a flawless track record for showcasing new and up and coming stars right across the board (from Dubstep to D&B, Funky, Breaks, Electro and anything else with enough bass to make your arse quake!)...
One thing you can always be sure of is that the Blast never fails to bring their own unique blend of pure bass-heavy mayhem to any party!

Booking Snowbombing 2010To book your place on Snowbombing 2010, choose the number of people you want to book for, fill in your details and you're good to go! A deposit of £100 is payable upon booking. You must pay the final balance by February 22nd 2010. Options for equipment hire, lessons, ski pass, coaches, transfers and flights (yes we fly now...) can be added and edited at any time once your booking has been made. The balance can be paid in instalments online. You will receive information regarding re-entering your booking upon making your reservation. Unnamed Accommodation - What You Should KnowSome of the most precious things in life haven't got names. Consider millions of mysterious stars twinkling in the night sky, playful puppies in a pet shop window or a beautiful new born baby... just because they haven't been called anything doesn't affect their quality! Similarly, our unnamed accommodation is every bit as warm, cosy and spa-tastic as its star rating suggests. We're not ashamed of what they are. Read more... The reason why they're unnamed is down to our agreement with the resort - we are given an agreed amount of beds at all standards - from cool pool packing 4 star luxury to pocket-friendly 2 star pensions. Five years of working in Mayrhofen informs us that the Austrian star system is very finely adhered to. So throughout the resort, units are virtually identical (because they are built by the same firm!). But our agreement means that we are only notified of which units we'll be using as the event draws near - and certain units indicate they have room. So don't be surprised if the 4 star unnamed hotels are just as good (if not better) than our named hotels - it may even be in one of these. Similarly, the locations are every bit as central as our named accommodation. As the resort is concentric and not linear, almost all 3 and 4 star units are located within walking distance to everywhere that matters (the lifts, the venues, the 24 hour garage/off licence...) getting there
You can book the Snowbombing Road Trip or a coach from the UK with us. We also offer airport transfers.
Location
Mayrhofen is located 32 kilometres south of Jenbach, nestling at the end of the Ziller Valley and is the 3rd largest community in Tyrol. The town benefits from being surrounded by nine other resorts, namely Fugen, Hochfugen, Kaltenbach, Zell, Gerlos, Kunigsleiten, Finkenberg, Tux and the Hintertuxer Glacier.
The resort is close to several airports, the nearest being Innsbruck (a quick 30mins down the road) and others such as Salzberg and Munich are only a couple of hours away by coach transfer. This means you don't have to take an agonizing (but often fun) 24 hour coach journey, but simply jump on a short flight and swift transfer to take you to the incredible snowy Alps of Austria.

The Snowbombing Road Trip: Top Gear all the way...If you fancy a road trip the Snowbombing Road Trip is the perfect way to travel to Mayrhofen. It starts just south of London at a sectret location, before hitting the ferry to France and cruising the awesome autobahns (no maximum speed limit) of Germany. With a city stopover and lots of fun and games en route, the Road Trip - which sorts you out with the ferry crossing and the all important car flags and stickers is available by adding it to your Snowbombing booking for a cool £199 per car. |
